The Runaways: Every Character Ranked Worst To Best

Unlike the other members of the Runaways, Gertrude is depicted as disenfranchised and cynical from the very beginning. This provides an interesting dynamic with the group as she begins with the realisation that adults are not saints and aren't entirely reliable, which is a conclusion the others don't come to until after they witness the crimes of their parents.

Gert has no superhuman abilities other than her telepathic link and emotional bond with Old Lace which allows her to control the dinosaur. However, this is not unique to Gert. The link can be passed on to others as seen during the events of her death when she passed the link with the raptor to Chase.

Her death heavily impacted the Runaways because she was seen as a guardian to Molly and the most practical of the group. Although her cynical takes on situations were often not what the group wanted to hear, she helped level the group and provide much needed realism at times.

Gert was recently revived when Chase traveled back into the timestream to save her and she was not happy about it.
