2. Nico Minoru
Nico is the leader of the Runaways. Where Alex previously betrayed them and Chase is too immature to lead a super-team, Nico reluctantly filled the void and would eventually take to the leadership role with natural aptitude.
Nico's powers are magic-based and come from a magical object named the Staff of One which resides inside of her. In order to draw out the Staff of One Nico must shed blood, which is usually done via something minor like pinching her own arm or biting her lip until it bleeds.
Another caveat of her magical abilities is that she cannot use the same command phrase twice. So, if she has frozen someone by saying "Freeze" she can never use the spell with that phrase again, she would try another related command such as "Ice."
Nico has also enjoyed a tenure on A-Force, an Avengers off-shoot comprised of several heavy-hitting women from the Marvel Universe including She-Hulk, Medusa and Captain Marvel.
