We start our countdown with a comic featuring one of everyones favourite X-Men, Wolverine. The comic gets its name from the sound that wolverines claws make when they are extended and was collected together as part of the Wolverine Legends mini-series. This five-part story arc features Wolverine being transported to the year 2058 by a mysterious girl named Fusa where he learns that Earth has become overrun by robotic creatures named The Mandate. Wolverine must then aid Fusa in saving the human race and defeating the menace posed by such beings. While the storyline is somewhat generic of pulled to the future to save the day' plots, the characterisation and the beautiful artwork from Tsutoma Nihei definitely make this one to check out for any Wolverine fan.
