Venom: 11 WTF Moments Not Used In The Film

8. Tongue Clone

Flash Thompson Anti Venom
Marvel Comics

Though the circumstances of Venom's spawning (specifically the Symbiote's pregnancies and resulting childbirth) have been... strange, to say the least, one of the strangest ways the Symbiote ever created new life was when, during a battle, Venom's tongue was cut off, and the Ararat Corporation used it to clone a new Symbiote.

It was created in the Corporation's New Mexico lab, torturing and murdering the inmates provided as its possible hosts, more out of sadism and pleasure than hunger.

It was eventually moved to a lab in the Canadian Arctic, breaking out and systematically slaughtering all but one there, before latching onto a sled dog and moving to a nearby army base, committing what would be called The Christmastown Massacre.

The original Venom eventually faced off against its more sadistic clone, and was able to reabsorb it.

Later, Flash, as a substitute gym teacher, would protect teenager Andi Benton using a part of his Symbiote, only for that part to bond with Andi - a remnant of the old clone latching onto her rage for those who murdered her father. Flash helped her to not cross that line, however, turning her into another Symbiote-bonded hero (sometimes anti-hero), Mania.
