Venom 2: 10 Things You Need To Know About Shriek

7. She Has Seriously Dangerous Powers

The biggest shame about Shriek being a fairly obscure character is that she is unimaginably dangerous, meaning she would have worked best as a major superhero's rival, instead of a character who is generally another villain's backup.

Not only is Barrison capable of telekinesis, but her scream is also supercharged - hence the name 'Shriek' - meaning she's capable of creating sonic waves that she can weaponise against her enemies.

This is especially important when you remember that Venom is hypersensitive to loud sounds, leaving the villain with an ability that is basically Klyntar kryptonite.

And this is without evening mentioning her ability to corrupt others, as she is able to make people act on their repressed negative thoughts and emotions, allowing her to turn any crowd into a blizzard of violence and brutality. As such, she's capable of creating chaos anywhere she goes, which is hopefully her role for the majority of Venom 2.
