Venom 2: 10 Things You Need To Know About Shriek

8. She's Obsessed With Her 'Family'

While initially the concept of wanting a family sounds like a perfectly ordinary goal in life, Shriek's desire for kin is considerably more perverse.

Because Shriek doesn't really want a regular family - instead adopting a series of symbiotes to call her own spawn. This alone wouldn't be that bad, as the alien parasites can be taught to be good, but Shriek only encourages them to wreak havoc wherever they go, proving that not all adopted mothers are bastions of kindness and care. It's one of the most unnerving parts of Shriek's character, as it takes the Carnage 'family' from merely a group of violent symbiotes, to a team that feel like the unholy love children of The Hills Have Eyes and the Alien series.

The incredibly messed up family dynamics of this pack of villains could easily end up being the most interesting part of Venom 2, as a family made out of adopted evil aliens is a concept that's impossible to not making interesting.
