While Eddie has been dealing with all his family drama, Cletus Kasady has also had some problems recently, although it's less learning to be a dad and more falling from space and burning up upon re-entry.

Following on from Venomized, a story in which most of the Marvel Universe is forcibly bonded to symbiotes, Carnage was ejected into space and then made his way back home by way of man-meteor, killing his symbiote in the process.

All is not lost for the red, dead rascal however. His body is procured by a cult dedicated to Knull, lead by Carnage’s offspring, Scorn, and exposed to a “Codex”, an imprint left on symbiote’s host created by the Maker from the corpse of the dragon Venom handily dispatched earlier.

Upon bonding with this codex, Carnage communes with Knull and gets a new mission in life: Collect all the codexes and talk to Knull again, which means he’ll have to kill everyone who’s ever bonded to a symbiote.

This is a massive task for anyone to take on, but if there’s anyone who can give it the ol’ college try and give the Avengers a run for their money, it’s ya boy Cletus.
