Absolute Carnage
Marvel Comics

We next see Carnage back in Doverton, the small town he conquered during Carnage USA. His quest for codexes has seen him reassemble his old "family" Shriek and Doppelganger, who long-time fans may recognise as part of Maximum Carnage.

Carnage has obviously spent his time off learning methods of extracting codexes by watching one too many Schwarzenegger films, namely pulling their spines out of his victim’s back while they are still alive. After his holiday in rural America, Cletus allows himself to get arrested by disguising himself as Eddie Brock and killing everyone in the prison after an altercation involving former Venom, Lee Price, who had Venom’s spider symbol tattooed to his chest and Eddie-Cletus bursting out into tears of laughter.

This of course makes Eddie Brock public enemy number one. Cletus, happy with his victory, escapes prison, blowing up a couple of helicopters for good measure, then sets his sights on the nearest super-hero, which just happens to be our favourite web-slinger...
