What Happened To Every MAJOR Character Who Joined The Suicide Squad?

1. Katana

Although the 2016 Suicide Squad movie would probably lead most to believe that Katana has been a long-running member of the Suicide Squad, she's actually more synonymous with another DC super-team: the Outsiders. Still, she has crossed paths with the Squad before, only joining them permanently in the pages of DC rebirth from 2016 onward.

The first time Tatsu encountered Task Force X came after working with the Outsiders in Markovia, a fictional DC country situated in eastern Europe. She helps the Squad stop a shipment of weapons destined for the Yakuza, but she wouldn't actually take active membership with the group until decades later.

As in the film, Katana gets appointed as the team's co-leader by Amanda Waller, working alongside Rick Flagg to keep the rest of the team in check. She's active during the aforementioned business with Zod, and even plays an active role during the Justice League vs Suicide Squad event, where the two teams join forces to take on Maxwell Lord.

Katana's final mission with the Squad took place in Russia, where Amanda Waller got infected by an alien virus. She has to convince Boomerang and Deadshot not to make a run for it, and uses Soultaker to pretty much save the day. Not bad going, given she hasn't been with the Squad for that long in the grand scheme of things.
