What Happened To Every MAJOR Character Who Joined The Suicide Squad?

One of many characters who fans may not realise actually joined the Suicide Squad, Krypton's very own homicidal general joined forces with Task Force X. Well, he doesn't so much join as he is forcefully coerced into action when Waller plants a Kryptonite bomb in his head, but the sentiment's pretty much the same, right?
Anyway, after Task Force X break into the Black Vault to steal equipment from the facility, they unwittingly free Zod. Waller, being the enterprising woman she is, decides that the Squad could probably use someone of Zod's talents on the team, and before you know it a brand new bomb finds its way to the general. The new Squad then embarks on a new mission, but things don't exactly go according to plan.
Zod is able to burn the bomb out of his own head, and it forces the Squad's field commander, Rick Flagg, into action. Flagg sacrifices himself to return Superman's arch-nemesis to the Phantom Zone with which he is so familiar, only for the General to escape and cause mischief for Green Lantern futher down the line.
