What Happened To Everyone Who Dated Joker?

One of the more unfortunate Joker love interests - which is saying something - Rebecca Brown meets the Joker when he is forcibly driven sane after thinking he had killed Batman, leading him to repress his Joker alter ego and believe that all his memories of being a supervillain are 'bad dreams'.

After taking up a normal life, 'Joseph Kerr' begins a romantic relationship with Rebecca, even proposing to her after the pair have lived together for a couple of months. This rose-tinted dream dies a pretty hardcore death, though, as Kerr becomes increasingly aware that he was actually the Joker, and desperately tries to block out all evidence of the fact, until he is once more driven insane by the knowledge of his diabolical previous life.

Although the Clown Prince initially uses Brown as a hostage, Batman manages to convince the villain to hand her to the police to be escorted to safety - suggesting he may have still cared for her even as the Joker. With Rebecca not recognising the Joker as her betrothed, the comic ends with her waiting for her fiancé to return to her - which she may still be doing to this day.
