What Happened To Everyone Who Joined The Batman Family?

18. Dick Grayson - Robin/Nightwing/Batman/Agent 37

Azrael Batman
DC Comics

Dick Grayson was the first Robin, appearing in April 1940. Dick grew up as part of a circus family, but his parents died in an arranged accident when he was young. Bruce took Dick into his home and trained him as a sidekick and crime-fighter.

As Dick grew in age and experience, he moved from his role as Robin to that of Nightwing, becoming an influential and long-time leader of the Teen Titans and the Outsiders.

Several times during his career as Nightwing, Dick took on the mantle of Batman, covering for periods when Bruce was either unavailable or thought dead, most notably after Final Crisis.

Recently, Dick's true identity was revealed to the world and he temporarily retired and began working as a secret agent for the organization Spyral. He has since recreated his secret identity, and is now Nightwing once again (after a brief spell where he went by Ric Grayson for... some reason).
