What Happened To Everyone Who Joined The Batman Family?
17. Selina Kyle - Catwoman
Catwoman was introduced in the first Batman solo comic in 1940. Selina's most recent origin story is that of being an orphan who had to learn martial arts and thievery skills to survive on the streets before becoming one of the best cat burglars in the world.
Selina always maintained an intriguing relationship with Bruce / Batman, often as a rival in years past, but more recently being a partner in both love and crime-fighting. Bruce's love for Selina has been one constant of his career and Selina is one of the only people Bruce has willingly disclosed his secret identity to.
Bruce and Selina recently agreed to be married. The day of the wedding, however, Bruce receives letters from Selina telling him she knows marriage would take away from what makes him Batman, which she can't be responsible for.
After ending their engagement, Selina left Gotham and began crime-fighting in Villa Hermosa in California.
She'll always be part of the Family, though.
