What Happened To Everyone Who Joined The Fantastic Four?
11. Medusa - Fantastic Four #132-159 (1973-1975) + FF #1-16 (2013-2014)
Shortly after Susan Storm gave birth to Franklin, she returned full-time to the Fantastic Four. But because Reed saw her as a mother rather than a superhero, he repeatedly compromised her place on the team, asking her to hide rather than fight when faced with a threat. Out of frustration, Sue left the team in Fantastic Four #130 and was replaced by the Inhuman queen, Medusalith Amaquelin.
Even though Medusa has the power of... hair, she is a force to be reckoned and used her incredible strength to help the Fantastic Four battle Thundra, Dragon Man, Annihilus, and Miracle Man. Although Sue considered returning to the team, that ship sailed when Reed's direct actions left Franklin in a vegetative state.
Seeing how Sue's absence was effecting Reed, Johnny, and Ben, Medusa stepped down and encouraged Sue to return, believing it would help her and Reed work on their marriage.
Medusa rejoined the Fantastic Four in 2013 but found herself battling her own teammates after being mind-controlled by the Wizard. Thankfully, the Fantastic Four and Medusa's son, Ahura, helped her come to her senses and defeat the Wizard's forces.
