What Happened To Everyone Who Joined The Guardians Of The Galaxy?

What was once considered a punchline of a character alongside - well, most of the other characters on this list actually - is now one of Marvel's biggest breakout characters, it's hard to imagine the Guardians without Rocket Raccoon. Well, if you look at the big timeline of the team's history, he actually hasn't been part of the team for that long in the grand scheme of things.

But when Dan Abnett added him to his rebooted roster of the team, Rocket has stayed there ever since. He's become so synonymous with the team, helped by his breakout appearance in the Guardians films, that no one would dare to take him off the roster now.

Rocket was the result of genetic experiments performed on Earth animals (his girlfriend is a sentient otter, because of course she is) who then escaped and had his own black and white comic adventures before being swiftly forgotten. Until, of course, he was brought back for the sequel event to Annihilation, where he and Groot played huge roles like Star Lord before them. Since then, Rocket has been around and never forgotten.
