3. Spider-Man PS4 Was A Serious GOTY Contender

Much later in the year, we got a Spider-Man for a whole other medium - the gaming one.

When Spidey's PS4 outing was first unveiled, it looked amazing, though it had a fair amount of competition from the likes of the Batman Arkham series, Injustice, Infamous, as well as previous, web-centric, games too.

Though, while it may have been outdone in certain areas (namely DLC and length) the overall experience, upon release, was nothing short of spectacular.

When it comes to Spidey games, nailing the web-swinging is the first, and most important step, to creating an enjoyable experience - something which Insomniac thankfully got right. Following this, the storyline, which centered around all of the web-slinger's classic villains, plus newer ones like Mr. Negative, was similarly brilliant. The acting of all of the cast, but especially that of Yuri Lowenthal, was also fantastic, and made for an amazingly charming time for players.

It's just a shame it didn't win many awards...
