10 80s Films That Deserve The TV Reboot Treatment
1. The Lost Boys
The Lost Boys was that cool 1980s film your older brother let you watch when you were far too young to, full of sex-appeal, blood and an abundance of brooding.
Vampires have had a long history in our stories. Even today the vampire narrative is, for lack of a better phrase, still breathing. What attracts us to the stories is the idea of being tempted by but ultimately overcoming our darkest desires. This idea is timeless. So the idea of an OC style story only with the added spice of vampires is still relevant and allows the film to find new life - and target market appeal - as a teen drama series.
How It Should Work
Two siblings move to a new town. They must deal with the fish-out-of-water experience of being the new kid in town and school. But things get worse when they meet the local gang of cool kids who are thirsty for new blood. A new gang of vamps. A new teenager to lure into the ranks. A new era. Vampires on Instagram, who wouldn't want to see that?
