10 More Upcoming Movies That Just Made PERFECT Casting Choices

As James Gunn continues to build up his DC Universe, the casting of Kara Zor-El aka Supergirl was absolutely paramount, and for her impending solo movie Gunn landed upon the unexpected yet wholly inspired choice of Milly Alcock.

For one, Alcock has proved beyond any doubt that she's a fantastic dramatic actress through her acclaimed performance as young Rhaenyra Targaryen in House of the Dragon.

Moreover, given that the film will reportedly be adapting the Woman of Tomorrow Supergirl comics, where Kara is depicted as a more tough-edged, jaded character, it's easy to see how Alcock can play that vibe to a T.

And of course, we've already actually seen Alcock briefly in action as Supergirl, per her fleeting yet hilarious cameo in Gunn's recent Superman. 

In addition to looking fantastic in the suit, Alcock nailed Kara's bristly, prickly tenor as she drunkenly rocked up to collect Krypto from Clark (David Corsenswet). 

And so, there's little doubt she'll carry that feeling through to her own solo movie next summer.
