3. Julia Garner - Weapons
Julia Garner is one of the most talented actors of her generation, with lauded performances in TV shows Ozark and Inventing Anna alongside stellar movie work in the likes of Grandma, The Assistant, and The Royal Hotel.
Garner will also portray Silver Surfer in the upcoming The Fantastic Four: First Steps, but the far more exciting in-the-works prospect is her role in the new film from Barbarian director Zach Cregger, Weapons.
Weapons has been described as an ultra-ambitious, Magnolia-esque epic horror film centered around the disappearance of school children in the middle of the night.
Garner will play the film's female lead, Justine, and while little more than that is known right now, the industry buzz surrounding this thing is off the charts, enough that Cregger parlayed himself a $20 million payday for his follow-up project, a new adaptation of the Resident Evil video games.
Needless to say, coming off the back of the wildly disappointing Wolf Man, Weapons will hopefully give Garner one hell of a juicy part, and from the scuttlebutt we've hear so far, things are looking good.
