2. Sydney Sweeney - Untitled Christy Martin Biopic
Sydney Sweeney has been on quite the career ascent over the last few years, between her well-received work in TV show Euphoria and strong performances in recent films Reality and Immaculate.
And Sweeney seems to be wasting no time at all chasing Oscar gold, as she's next set to star in a biopic of boxer Christy Martin.
And anyone doubting that the slender Sweeney could get into fighting shape for the part has already been proven dead wrong by her social media posts, where she's shown off the extensive gym work she put in to play Martin.
Sweeney posted photos of herself to Instagram revealing the muscle she's packed on for the role, as well as her period-accurate '90s mullet, of course.
With David Michôd (Animal Kingdom, The Rover) directing, this should be far from a bland Wikipedia page biopic, and given that the filmmaker previously directed Jacki Weaver to a Best Supporting Actress Oscar nomination for Animal Kingdom, this could very well land Sweeney her own first taste of Academy glory.
