10 Actors About To Play Hugely Against Type

Nicolas Cage has played many, many different types of characters over the years, from cops to criminals, alcoholics, deadbeats, superheroes, paramedics, and even an author.

But it's pretty rare that he plays a strictly ordinary dude, as he will in his upcoming thriller Wally's Wonderland, where Cage will play a man who takes a janitor's job at a condemned amusement park.

The twist, of course, is that the titular park comes to life, with a host of demonic animatronics trying to kill Cage's janitor in order to sacrifice him. Cage, in turn, is forced to team up with a gang of local teens to defeat Wally and his cohorts.

To be clear, this sounds like the best kind of VOD-era Nicolas Cage movie, though it'll certainly be a tad strange to see the actor playing such a seemingly regular guy.

That's not to say there won't be room for one of Cage's signature freakouts, but on the surface, this might be the most down-to-Earth and relatable character he's played in his entire career.
