10 Actors Totally Wasted In 2021 Movies

There was never any doubt who the main event was coming into Daniel Craig's last-ever outing as 007 in No Time to Die. Yet, the casting of formidable talents such as Lashana Lynch and Ana de Armas suggested that James Bond may be in for a battle when it came time to exude charm, wit, and all-round badassery this time around.

And while Lynch undoubtedly/hopefully set the stage for a ton of new, enthralling adventures with MI6 agent Nomi, the same could not be said for de Armas' thoroughly squandered appearance as CIA agent Paloma.

Dumped into the flick as an impromptu partner to Bond with a few inexperienced jitters, the Knives Out star absolutely holds her own when taking down goons and cracking wise. Yet, by the time we'd become acquainted to this breath of espionage fresh air, she was gone.

It's definitely a positive step to not see this sort of character just thrown into bed with the serial womaniser and discarded shortly after. But is having the brilliant de Armas pop up for a solitary mission before being ignored for the rest of the flick really that much better?

Give us more Paloma downing whiskey and machine-gunning fools. We and de Armas deserve it.
