10 Actors Who Could Be The New James Bond

9. Dan Stevens

Tom Hardy Legend
Picturehouse

Why He Might: Dan Stevens has been a popular pick for a long, long time now, and he proved in 2014's terrific action-thriller The Guest that he could play the slick, efficient killing machine that Bond is so often characterised as.

Stevens also fits the physical requirements of the role perfectly, and has confirmed himself to be a highly talented actor in both drama and comedy roles.

However, he's not quite famous enough to edge himself out of the running, given the tendency for Bond casting to veer away from certified A-listers.

Why He Might Not: Stevens has a strong physical resemblance to Daniel Craig, which probably works against him somewhat, as the producers may prefer someone who looks a little more distinct.

Also, Stevens is currently 38 years of age and will have definitely turned 40 before shooting on his first film started, which may skew a little old for a contemporary Bond. But he certainly doesn't look his age, so he can get away with it better than most.
