Lets be honest, there's so many damn good international stars out there that an iconic role such as Indiana Jones should be open to all. And Michael Fassbender is no exception as any rumored re-boot or casting opportunity has him getting thrown into the mix 9 times out of 10. Fassbender hails from Germany so it'd be entertaining seeming him square off against those evil Nazis. Fassbender could effortlessly do what Ford has done so well in pulling off the dashing ruggedness of Indy while sporting academic panache in the classroom. Fassbender has the chops to pull off both dynamics of the role as he's proven in films past his range in acting ability is easily one of the best in Hollywood right now, from his Spartan days in the film 300 to his intellectual abilities as David in Prometheus. Fassbender is attached to a lot of projects right now with the X-Men franchise, a possible sequel to Prometheus and the ever-looming Assassin's Creed film adaption. It's very unlikely that we'll see Fassbender with a whip in hand but oh, how we could hope! Possible Storyline: A story involving Fassbender could go in any direction. Whether it be a true re-boot or a so-called in-between-quel, Fassbender could slide in at any point. What makes Indiana Jones so great is that each film is it's own stand-alone story, much the same way as James Bond. We've seen Fassbender tangle with the Nazi's on numerous occasions and it would be great to see him tangle with some of it's allies such as Imperial Japan or Fascist Italy.
