8. Idris Elba
Despite some initial controversy (well, if you're a racist) surrounding the decision to cast Idris Elba as Heimdall in Thor, the British actor still impressed in the movie, even if his role was a minor one. He was given a bit more to do in Thor: The Dark World and even showed up in Avengers: Age of Ultron, but the frustration of not really being utilised in a meaningful way is definitely something which seems to have annoyed Elba. He actually made his frustrations clear
last year when he reflected on what it was like being forced to do reshoots for The Dark World just a day after returning from shooting Mandela. "I had to do reshoots on Thor 2. And in the actual scene my hair was different, my.... I was like, 'This is torture, man. I dont want to do this.' My agent said: 'You have to, its part of the deal." He later added that, "It ripped my heart out." The latter comment was made in regards to being put in a harness to shoot some CGI heavy scenes for the blockbuster, and while he later clarified his comments by saying he enjoyed working with Marvel and was simply talking about what it was like to go from a personal movie like Mandela to Thor, it definitely appears as if he's regretting committing to what has ended up being a rather thankless role in the MCU.
