Anyone who has had the pleasure of witnessing Steve Carell do his thing in, well, just about anything he's appearing in will know that the insanely diverse actor is an extremely proficient improviser when given the room to play.

When it came to the star's run as Michael Scott on the US version of The Office, that's precisely what Carell found himself with and the end results were routinely as shocking as they were priceless. However, his penchant for throwing the odd curveball here and there did sometimes leave his co-stars wondering where in the hell he was going to take a scene next and that's something Oscar Nuñez found out the hard way.

As the star recalled on the Office Ladies podcast, Carell was originally only supposed to kiss him on the head during an impromptu staff meeting in Season 3's 'Gay Witch Hunt' episode. Yet, Nuñez soon found himself being met with an unexpected smooch from the comedy star and his bewildered response would eventually find itself into the finished cut of the episode.

Luckily Nuñez was able to keep himself from corpsing long enough to deliver his own improvised response, thanking Michael for his awkward and deeply unecessary show of affection.
