What We Know
DeVito and Glover were both added to the cast of Jumanji 3 in January, along with fellow franchise newcomer Awkwafina, and more recently, Dania Ramirez. Details about all four characters have not been disclosed, with words and phrases like "kept under wraps", "mystery", and - in Awkwafina's case - "key" and "significant" being used in the reports about all three castings.
It's unclear why a Jumanji movie needs to be so secretive, but since the second film made almost a billion dollars, perhaps the filmmakers are going the extra mile to keep this third entry as surprising and exciting as possible.
Who They Might Be Playing
Literally anyone. The whole shtick of these new Jumanji movies is watching famous actors pretend to be other people (like how The Rock, Kevin Hart, Jack Black and Karen Gillan pretended to be teenagers in the recent film), so in all likelihood, this is what DeVito, Glover and Awkwafina will be doing.
In a THR report about Glover's casting, Dwayne Johnson even hinted that this will be the case, stating that "who turns into who?" will always be the fun part of these movies for the audience.
