8. Dan Stevens - The Ritual
Where new exorcism-themed horror flick The Ritual is concerned, at least Al Pacino will always have Jack & Jill (3%) to fall back on as his worst-ever movie, but Dan Stevens? Not quite.
Stevens has very few outright critical duds to his name, especially where he plays a major role, but The Ritual's mere 9% score on the Tomatometer marks a career-worst showing.
Despite the obvious potential for Pacino and Stevens to have a ton of fun as a pair of priests who must team up to save a possessed young woman, the worst thing you can say about the movie is that it's painfully dull.
Pacino plays his part - of a German-American priest - weirdly straight, and Stevens is given basically nothing worthwhile to do, ensuring the film as a whole is just a colossal, energy-sapping bore.
Stevens gets out with his dignity intact at least, and thankfully few are likely to remember watching this one by year's end.
