6. Olivia Wilde Wouldn't Be Guardians Of The Galaxy's Gamora
Another Guardians Of The Galaxy casting rejection, this time from Olivia Wilde, who turned down the role Gina Carano, Rachel Nichols and Adrianne Palicki all auditioned for and that Zoe Saldana would eventually get. It's probably not so easy to remember now, since Guardians has gone on to be a runaway hit with a fervent fanbase (not to mention, it was also a critically acclaimed smash), but the project had a lot of people scratching their heads way back when it was first announced. It could be the reason why Wilde was hesitant - sure, Marvel's usually pretty box office-proof, but this looked like it could've been the gamble to finally break the bank. Even Robert Downey, Jr. apparently backed out of taking a cameo role in Guardians, though that may have had more to do with his uncertain future as Iron Man post-Iron Man 3.
