6. Michael Sheen
Film: The Four Feathers (2002) Michael Sheen is a superb British actor, with a knack for appearing in biopics where he has portrayed legendary figures such as David Frost, Brian Clough, Kenneth Williams and Tony Blair. He has also featured in a number of box office smashes, such as the Twilight series, Underworld and Tron: Legacy. However, in this lengthy list of performances, he managed to forget the most important rule in show business - don't work with children or animals. The film The Four Feathers is about a young officer (played by Heath Ledger) who is disowned and heckled by all surrounding him for his refusal to be dispatched to the Sudan, making him out as a coward, but is soon forced to travel to the warring region to rescue his friend who is under attack. Sheen has a minor role in this flick as a fellow officer, but that doesn't stop him from getting injured in his short stint in production. In a scene which involved Sheen standing alongside a horse, the animal would stomp on the actor's foot and dig its hoof further into the ground. Instead of immediately screaming for assistance, Sheen put the needs of the movie first and stood stoic in spite of the pain he was in. I mean, a flattened foot may be bad, but if you have to do a retake then the whole film could be placed in jeopardy. But kudos to Sheen for fighting through the pain, showing how hard an actor will work to remain the consummate professional. The horse could probably learn a thing or two from Sheen's professionalism.
