4. Jim Carrey - Sonic

If you're one of those unkind people on social media who got such a thrill out of the memes, the Sonic movie has already been ruined by the revelation of the creepy new design of video games' most famous Hedgehog. But that's being fixed, so we can't yet hold it against the film. Which everyone definitely still will.

Rather more alarmingly, Jim Carrey's involvement seems to have flown under the radar in the wake of that ugly blue critter with the wrong face. Because, while Carrey is a hugely talented actor (at times), he's done his best work in recent years when he's been more restrained. Doctor Robotnik is not a restrained role: he is a pantomime villain and that means Carrey is going to be in full mugging mode.
