10 Actors Whose Credibility Suffered The Most In 2015

3. Hugh Jackman

A couple of weird film choices for Hugh Jackman this year, coming off the back of a successful 2014 that saw him reprising his trademark role as Wolverine in X-Men: Days of Future Past - and to great financial success. Jackman has long been one of the biggest stars in Hollywood, but 2015 saw two releases - both either critical or commercial flops. First up, then: Chappie, Neill Blomkamp's mind-boggling sci-fi film that was outright baffling from beginning to end. Jackman feels massively out of place, even though he doesn't have the biggest role, and though it made $102 million at the box office, the critics were left cold. And of course, more recently, there was Pan, in which Jackman played Blackbeard in his hammiest role to date. The film was critically (ahem) panned and a massive flop. All in all, not a particularly great year from one of the most talented actors in Hollywood, and that somewhat embarrassing turn in Pan has likely detracted from Jackman's star power.
