10 Actors You Never Knew Directed A Movie
3. David Arquette - The Tripper (2006)
David Arquette may not be the most revered of actors on this list, but he certainly has one of the most eclectic resumes amongst them. He's an actor known for playing Dewey Riley in the Scream franchise, a former WCW Heavyweight Champion and professional wrestler on the indie circuit, and he has also been a director.
In 2006, Arquette tested his directorial mettle with the slasher movie The Tripper, a bonkers homage to the exploitative slashers of the 1970s and 1980s from the likes of Wes Craven (who he worked with on Scream). There's very little to the movie itself, as a bunch of hippies go to attend a music festival only to be terrorised by a serial killer dressed like Ronald Reagan. Yes, that's Ronald Reagan the president. For fans of the weird and wonderful slasher genre, this will be right up your alley.
The movie only sports a meagre score of 5 on IMDb, and despite a few TV episodes now under his belt, unsurprisingly Arquette hasn't directed a movie since.
