10 Actors You Wrongly Think Are In Movies

6. Jonah Hill - Pineapple Express

The World's End
Sony Pictures Releasing

If asked to recall the main cast of 2008's cult stoner comedy Pineapple Express, you'll surely name Seth Rogen and James Franco as the leads, while in the supporting stakes you might recall their regular collaborators Danny McBride, Craig Robinson, and... Jonah Hill?

Despite Hill appearing in a bevy of similarly-themed comedies around this time, typically starring the same crowd of actors - including Knocked Up, Superbad, Forgetting Sarah Marshall, and so on - Hill didn't actually appear in Pineapple Express.

Yet it's easy to see why people get confused, given that Hill did appear in a famous parody of Pineapple Express several years after its release.

In 2013's apocalyptic comedy This Is the End, Hill takes part in a hilarious homemade trailer for Pineapple Express 2, where he plays "Woody Harrelson," who also happens to be the President of the United States, because why the hell not?

Evidently some viewers conflated their memories of that joke trailer with the real original Pineapple Express, and considering the toke-happy clientele both films are catering to, it's obvious how such a mistake could be made amid a hazy plume of weed smoke.
