6. Brie Larson
Here's a young lady who's enjoying a surge in popularity amongst the same community (pun intended) who get fired up over every Marvel release. Brie Larson is a quirky choice for Captain Marvel, with most of her work coming in the comedic genre, but as we've seen already, Marvel Studios has a tendency to take characters who wouldn't necessarily be seen as humorous and plop them down into hilarious adventures without sacrificing the spirit of the character. Carol Danvers is very similar to Guardians of the Galaxy in that her origin is so far out of this world that you almost have to play it lightheartedly, and Larson is the perfect choice to do so. She's charming and unique, just old enough to make the cut, and with her incredible performance in Short Term 12, someone who can turn up the dramatic range when necessary.
