9. Harold Crick - Stranger Than Fiction
Who He Is in the Movie: The Man Who Discovers a Real Life Who He Is in Real Life: The Obsessive-Compulsive, Timid Workaholic Who You're Expecting to Snap People like Harold Crick fall into those stereotypes of being the people that are going to find a shotgun and use it for horrific purposes once they finally jump off the cliff into Kitten Mushroom Candy Crazy Land. Which is an odd stereotype (blame jokes like "it's always the quiet ones"), but one that's held some ground for some time. In reality, Crick would just be a diligent, awkward fella who you wouldn't mind spending a few minutes talking to. Probably max. Unless you specialize in odd personalities, Harold's compulsions and social interactions would most definitely cause you to start harboring some anxiety whenever you spoke. He's not quick-to-anger, exactly, but he talks as if he wants things on his own terms and then shuffles away from the conversation altogether once you prove assertive. And if you had to spend day after day with this person, you would most definitely grow to love them as a person, but these ticks would likely drive you insane if they weren't confronted.

Cameron Carpenter is an aspiring screenwriter, current film and journalism student, and self-diagnosed cinephile, which only sounds bad in certain circles. Devoted fan of comics, movies, theater, Jesus Christ, Sidney Lumet, and Peter O'Toole, he sometimes spends too much time on his Scribd and comicbookmovie.com, but doesn't think you're one to judge, devoted reader. You can follow him on Twitter to watch him talk to people you didn't know exist. Oh, and Daredevil is quite the big deal around here (my head).
