3. Fletch
Who He Is in the Movie: The Quick-Lipped Sardonic Journalist Who He Is in Real Life: The Pathological Liar Who doesn't love Fletch? His fast-paced sarcasm knocks you back like Bill Murray's cameo in Zombieland and makes his flat, neo-noir journalist character ten thousand times more interesting. Fletch has other flaws, being that he's sometimes fairly lazy and a bit of a procrastinator; not to mention the fact that no married woman is out of bounds, but for the most part, Chevy Chase's character is fairly endearing. But if you're not on his level at all times, he'd be a real pain to keep around. Like Tony Stark, sometimes enough is enough and one quip too many is enough to drive you to an edge where the only headline that won't read "Best Friend Massacres Journalist" will be Fletch's (see, because he was massacred, which implies you killed him). And let's not forget that Fletch lies as easily as he blinks, and you'd never be able to believe a thing he says. Because pathological liars don't just lie for the fun of it. They literally can't help it. It just happens, to an extent, beyond their control. So, good luck keeping that friendship and loyalty from crashing and burning!

Cameron Carpenter is an aspiring screenwriter, current film and journalism student, and self-diagnosed cinephile, which only sounds bad in certain circles. Devoted fan of comics, movies, theater, Jesus Christ, Sidney Lumet, and Peter O'Toole, he sometimes spends too much time on his Scribd and comicbookmovie.com, but doesn't think you're one to judge, devoted reader. You can follow him on Twitter to watch him talk to people you didn't know exist. Oh, and Daredevil is quite the big deal around here (my head).
