Who He Is in the Movie: The Quick-Lipped Sardonic Journalist Who He Is in Real Life: The Pathological Liar Who doesn't love Fletch? His fast-paced sarcasm knocks you back like Bill Murray's cameo in Zombieland and makes his flat, neo-noir journalist character ten thousand times more interesting. Fletch has other flaws, being that he's sometimes fairly lazy and a bit of a procrastinator; not to mention the fact that no married woman is out of bounds, but for the most part, Chevy Chase's character is fairly endearing. But if you're not on his level at all times, he'd be a real pain to keep around.
