10 Annoying Tropes Marvel Needs To Abandon To Save Phase 3

2. Pretending The TV Shows Don't Exist

A recent report claimed that Kevin Feige resents the TV side of the Marvel Universe, and that he views it as a necessary evil which is just part and parcel of Disney owning Marvel Studios. That's probably why the Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. haven't been acknowledged so much as once in the movies (you'd think an appearance from a character like Mockingbird would be a given in The Avengers for example), while Daredevil isn't expected to factor into Captain America: Civil War in any way despite the fact that his Netflix series was such a smash hit. There's just a very weird disconnect between the two which ruins the illusion that these characters all exist in the same world, and a lack of any sort of acknowledgement greatly undermines their overall importance. Would Agents Of S.H.I.E.L.D. not benefit at least somewhat in terms of ratings if Agent Coulson's team had shown up to help battle Ultron? Hopefully the rumours of Daredevil and his fellow Defenders appearing in Avengers: Infinity War are true. If not, a lot of fans are inevitably going to be disappointed by Marvel' Phase 3...
