10 Ant-Man Trailer Easter Eggs You Might Have Missed

5. San Francisco

Based on that none-too-subtle establishing shot of the Golden Gate Bridge at the start of the trailer, it looks like Marvel are starting to realise there's a world beyond the East Coast. The Battle Of New York still looms large of the MCU's legend, with the Big Apple being the central location for the majority of their characters in the comics. Guardians was in space, sure, but The Winter Soldier in Washington. Ant-Man, meanwhile, is set in San Francisco. Scott Lang didn't spend a whole lot of time in The City By The Bay in the comics, though, and neither did Hank Pym €“ whether he was in his Ant-Man guise at the time or not. So what gives? Are these just more changes for the sake of it, like the bumped off Janet Van Dyne and the aged Pym? Possibly not. They could be setting more things up for Phase 3... So, the East Coast seems pretty sorted for superheroes and villains, right? But what about the other half of the country? Could they perhaps do with their own...West Coast Avengers? It's mostly a joke now but that was an actual team in the comics for years, with Hank Pym a big part of it. Could Black Panther, Doctor Strange or Captain Marvel be far behind?
