3. The Future Of Cassie Lang

So it looks like the big emotional hook of Ant-Man is going to be Scott Lang's relationship with his daughter. Several times he's seen swinging by and gazing adoringly at her in bed, perhaps implying that she's ill and bed bound, as Cassie Lang spent a while in the comics though. Don't worry though, this isn't one of those darkest timeline Tiny Tim deals, she makes it out okay! Better than okay, in fact. Scott Lang gets into the suit in the comics to try and save Cassie, so expect a similar motivation here (in fact Michael Douglas even says to Rudd "it's not about saving our world; it's about saving theirs," presumably talking about each of their estranged daughters). Again, though, Marvel could very well be sowing seeds for future movies. Because in the comics she suffered from a congenital heart defect that was only cured by her dad nabbing off with some Pym technology for some reason. She thought that was the end of it until she hit her teens, joined the Young Avengers (named does what it says on the tin) and became Stature. Cos she could grow really tall and tough!
