10 Avengers: Age Of Ultron Surprises That Could Happen

5. Baron Strucker Vs. Nick Fury

Baron Wolfgang Von Strucker is the founder of Hydra in the comics, which immediately means something will probably be different in this film. Strucker wasn€™t even mentioned in The First Avenger and that film established that the Red Skull created Hydra. So the question is what is Strucker€™s involvement in the organization? And an even bigger question we have is what connection, if any, does he have to Nick Fury? Fury and Strucker are arch-enemies, dating back to World War II when Fury led the Howling Commandos. In The Winter Soldier, Fury tells Cap that the last time he trusted someone, he lost an eye. In the Ultimate universe, Fury€™s eye was taken by Wolverine, but in the main Marvel universe, he lost his sight from shrapnel taken during WW2. With The Winter Soldier and Agents of SHIELD establishing that Hydra had a lot of moles within SHIELD for years, this makes us wonder if Strucker was one of those moles. We do know that Fury will appear in Age of Ultron, as will Strucker. But with SHIELD now being led by Phil Coulson, why would Fury come out of hiding? Our theory is it€™s because of Strucker€™s involvement. We believe that Strucker was the man Fury once trusted and the reason Fury lost his eye. Few things could make Fury return to action like the presence of his old enemy.
