Throughout The Fast and The Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw (2019), Luke Hobbs (Dwayne Johnson) and Deckard Shaw (Jason Statham) can be found constantly squabbling and digging at each other before occasionally pausing for long enough to beat up whatever poor soul gets in their way.

It's during one of these various verbal back-and-forths where Hobbs quips that one of Shaw's cars in his underground storage unit is a 'teeny-tiny one' that's 'just his size'. Yet, it's Shaw's understated response which left some alert fans quickly filling in the blanks.

The former MI6 agent, states that the vintage Mini was 'good for a job over in Italy'.

Statham famously starred in the remake of The Italian Job in 2003, and director David Leitch felt this could be a fun meta way of acknowledging the fact that the Brit appears in a lot of films with cars at their centre.

This subtle cheeky wink at the audience is likely nothing more than just that, though, as the model referenced in this moment is not even the same as the one Statham drove as Handsome Rob in The Italian Job.

Still, it's a fun little beat which some may have completely missed whilst being distracted by the two alpha males kicking ass for two hours.
