5. Die Hard
2013 brings us to the 25th anniversary of this ultimate 80's action film, and the vehicle that launched Bruce Willis' acting career into the stratosphere. The time is now for a director's cut of this film to be issued and released to celebrate this milestone, and to do so just in time for the 2013 holiday season. More about villain Hans Gruber in a breakthrough performance by Alan Rickman, more about John McClane's dysfunctional family ties, and more action scenes with our hero in all his barefooted glory are in order. Die Hard is the ultimate holiday action film, and is long overdue for a revisit and re-cut.
