2. Marvel's The Avengers
Joss Whedon hit the ball out of the proverbial park with his big budget, extremely profitable comic book franchise directorial debut, The Avengers. We can expect in the coming year the release of a box set containing all of the Marvel character films that brought us to The Avengers, and there's hope that the set will include some sort of Whedon cut of The Avengers film. As is, the film itself is already a Loki-slamming good time; but if given more of a run time through a director's version, we could get more of the overall story through further character development. Specifically, more time is needed with Jeremy Renner's Hawkeye and Samuel L. Jackson's Nick Fury, and we can't imagine any of you would have a problem with Hulk smashing more aliens, smashing more Thor, or otherwise. A Director's Cut of this film could only give us more fun than we've already had with these characters.
