3. Indiana Jones and The Last Crusade

Say what you will about Indy's encounter with crystal skulls, but a director's cut of Indiana's Last Crusade probably could have avoided the fiasco that was Indy's most recent and presumably final outing. By telling an even more detailed story than the Crusade we already know, the story of the Jones family could have been brought to an even more compelling completion with a greater look at the parts that comprised the whole of the film. The Last Crusade was the perfect bookend to a masterful trilogy, and it broadened the Indiana Jones world with the introduction of his father as a main player, and the search for the Holy Grail. While not as revered as Raiders of the Lost Ark, this final film could due with a re-issue that hopefully holds even more to the story about Junior and his father's quest for the cup of communion, and especially more scenes involving Sean Connery's excellent portrayal of the elder Henry Jones.
