10 Awesome Recent Horror Movie Kills You Probably Missed
8. Reuben & Brooke - It's What's Inside
It's What's Inside is an absolute head-spinner of a satirical horror film, revolving around a group of old college friends who reunite for a party, only to make use of a mysterious device which allows them to swap bodies.
Despite being praised at its Sundance premiere, the picture didn't make much of a dent when it released on Netflix, and received more mixed notices from those subscribers who did bother to watch it.
This is another movie where, despite all its chaotic drama, the body count is actually surprisingly low, with the only major death scene being an unfortunate accident. But what an accident.
The calamity in question occurs when Reuben (Devon Terrell) - who is in Dennis' (Gavin Leatherwood) body - and Brooke (Reina Hardesty) - who is in Maya's body - have sex on the roof of the secluded mansion where everyone is staying.
As the pair are going at it, the stone balcony they're thrusting against suddenly breaks away, causing the pair to fall from the roof. And if that's not bad enough, they end up impaled on a spiked statue below, to the shock of all their assembled friends.
This already-horrific scenario is made even worse by the whole body swap fiasco, as Dennis and Maya now have to reckon with the fact that their original bodies are no more.
