7. Rusty - Dark Match
Dark Match is a deeply, deeply unserious horror film following a group of wrestlers who find themselves booked at an event run by murderous cultists, but unless you've stumbled across it on Shudder by accident, you probably have no idea of its existence.
The film's various deaths take place in and around a wrestling ring, the most hilarious of which is saved for the picture's climax, where the villainous Spencer (played by ever-brilliant character actor Michael Eklund) is dropkicked into the sharp end of a broom handle by a mute luchador (Mo Adan), because why the hell not?
Given that this is actually the only death in the movie that's directly caused by a wrestling move, of course it was always going to be the best one. It so perfectly nails what a feature with this loony premise needs to do - it's just a shame that we didn't get more of this glorious nonsense throughout.
