10 Awful 2019 Horror Movies To Avoid This Halloween

From the director of Sinister 2 comes this promising yet thunderously dull Netflix Original horror, revolving around the titular boy who suffers from a rare disease which prevents him from going outside without a hazmat suit.

But of course, the house he's living in turns out to present its own horrors, in a potential-filled spin on the typical haunted house formula which quickly retreats back into the very same cliches and tropes we're all familiar with.

The talented likes of Lili Taylor and Kelly Reilly are wasted in supporting roles in this deathly slow, boring yarn where precious little happens for 90% of the runtime, only for the ending to serve up a spectacularly bungled - and outrageously obvious - reveal that totally upends the movie's tone.

Originally due to be released in cinemas by Paramount, it's clear to see why the studio had no idea how to market it, and by offloading it to Netflix, evidently knew they had a dud on their hands. Avoid it like the plague.
