10 Awful Horror Movies That Need To Be Remade

8. Shocker

Wishmaster movie
Universal Pictures

If you've never heard of this cheesy B-movie from 1989, then truth be told, it won't be a big shocker (apologies for that). It's a mostly forgotten flick from the back catalogue of the horror legend Wes Craven, and when compared to the rest of his line-up, it's not a big surprise that this one has fallen to the annals of history. Despite that, a modern retelling could rock the horror world.

Shocker follows a terrifying serial killer named Horace Pinker, who is sentenced to death by electrocution. But, that's only the beginning, as after his death, he turns into pure electricity and wreaks havoc on those who got him locked up in the first place.

As you can tell, the concept is absurd, but it's the kind of goofiness that's somewhat missing from modern cinema and would make a fantastic, self-aware VOD flick for the likes of Shudder. Plus, seeing this concept applied to the modern world, with electricity and technology having advanced quite a bit since 1989, could really revamp this concept.

Just imagine a serial killer jumping out of a computer screen or travelling through the internet. It would be a blast!
