2. Bedrooms - Julie Benz (Rita)
Bedrooms consists of four separate stories, each revolving around people trying to deal with their relationship problems. Julian has major issues with his partner when she doesn't want to have sex with him anymore. Marnie has had a long-time affair with her boyfriend, but decides to get back with her husband. Janet's twin children try to process the effects that their mother's divorce has had on them. Anna, played by Dexter's Julie Benz, confesses to her husband that she's cheating on him with the pizza delivery boy.
Even though Bedrooms tries to convey a profound message about relationships, it doesn't work since the film fails to juggle its multiple stories effectively. Ironically, the movie would've worked better if it just focused on one storyline. Because of the four narratives, we spend little time with each character, and so, know very little about them, making it difficult to care about them.
If handled right, a heated argument can be one of the most emotionally powerful moments in a movie. But since every scene in this movie centres around a heated argument, viewers will quickly tire of the drama.
